Stolen Girlfriends Club SS 2011/12
The big comedown
The most anticipated show of the week, my regular followers would have probably figured by now how much I love this label and I was more the excited to attend the show. The energy inside the cargo theatre was brilliant; every inch of space around the catwalk was filled with hundreds of guests and media.
This collection has an unexpected fresh look compared too their past season’s typical grungy style. Collaborating with New Zealand fine artist Karl Maughan, the whimsical garden prints used all throughout the collection are sure to be must have pieces this spring/ summer. I’m lusting over the Print tee dress and floaty chiffon pants. Also impressed with the boys’ ability to clash goth, western, rock and feminine pieces together in one collection and making it look effortless and cool.
Stolen Girlfriends Club, You are awesome!

Alice McCall RAFW S/S 11/12
Heavenly prints, interesting cut outs, flowing fabrics, and touches of sequin and velvet Appliqué’s, all in a soft pastel colour palette..
An elegantly chic collection, Alice McCall was one of the standout shows I’ve seen this week at RAFW. Loving the hair too! Inspired, maybe i’ll style my hair in a loose plait tomorrow!
Keep checking back for more posts of the week!

DION LEE RAFW
My favourite of the week!
DION LEE
After graduating a short 2 years ago from Sydney Tafe, it’s safe to say Dion Lee is the fashion world’s next big thing. The collection Facade dominated this year’s fashion week, with a venue as big as the collection, it seems only appropriate the show was staged at the iconic Sydney Opera House.
Lee’s inspiration- "the tension between something controlled and something subconscious" In result, an innovative collection complete with razor-sharp tailoring mixed with soft draping, pleating and knots in a colour palette of pastels, smokey black and stand-out prints.

FW Day 3
I didn’t bring my camera yesterday but there were a couple collections I want to share, so I’ll source down photos for you guys when I get home.
Mark from the cobra snake is still lurking around so if you’re in Sydney, look out for him :)
Watched Kate Sylvester in the morning, the collection ‘this charming man’ very similar to twentysevennames A/W I recently posted. Beautiful androgynous styled outfits- think chunky heels, and loafers with socks, large bow neck ties, high waists, lace and soft leather. Girls dressing like boys and pulling it off in a feminine way, is what I’m really digging atm.
And the last snaps I took are of the label A. Concept by Anthony Capon, A mix of draped and structured, mesh, leather and cotton and finished with beautifully crafted jewellery pieces. The collection was a dream, a perfect 10 in my eyes. (I’ll try and get the look book photos!)
I’m meant to be at the private preview for LAB Gallerie- LAB Homme right now, instead I’m blogging :P This week is just so exhausting, I’ve been going to bed at normal people time. Weird..
